Matheran

Matheran is one of the greenest hill station in India, it is located on the Western Ghats range at an elevation of around 800 m (2,625 feet) above sea level. It is Asia’s only automobile-free hill station which make this place quite peaceful and beautiful. Located around 90km from Mumbai and 120km from Pune. It has heavy rainfall during the monsoon. The steep cliffs of Matheran offer stunning viewing points. Matheran is known for its mild climate and well-preserved colonial architecture.
